One of our most recent restorations is “Phyllis” a 1913 gaff cutter built to the Royal Mersey Restricted Class specification. One or two others from the class are currently known to be under restoration, one on the Wirral and another close to Glasson Dock.
“Phyllis” is however currently the only vessel afloat. On completion of the restoration she was nominated as one of the contenders for the Classic Boat restoration of the year in 2010.
She can be seen taking part in the Annual Nobby Race, and in festivals around the Irish Sea.
You may catch a glimpse of her, from time to time, when calling in at Skippool Creek for more of the yards tlc.
